Luninets

Luninets - is a small town of Brest region of Belarus, an administrative center of Luninets district. The sights of the city Luninets are primarily various temples located here. The photo above shows a modern temple, built in the town of Luninets recently. The following photo shows the Orthodox church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, built in 1922. Then you can also see the Catholic church of St. Joseph was built here in 1931.

In Luninets city in 1911-1912 lived and worked Yakub Kolas - the famous Belarusian writer, poet and translator. One of the classics and the founders of the new Belarusian literature. This reminds tourists and travelers plaque installed on the building of the local history museum. In the town of Luninets there is also a monument to Yakub Kolas and the street named in his honor.

Other small attractions in the town of Luninets include a number of small administrative and residential buildings dating to the beginning of the 20th century, all of which together make the city a few blocks of historic buildings. Also of some interest, some tourists may cause building of the local train station.
