Svajatychy - is a large village of Lyakhavichy district, Brest region of Belarus. The main attraction of the village of Svajatychy is the Catholic church of St. George, built in 1825 in the style of late classicism. Near the church in the village of Svajatychy is a small bell tower, built in the second half of the 19th century. After the defeat of the national liberation uprising of 1863-1864, the temple building was transferred to the Orthodox Church, and slightly rebuilt. Then the bell tower was erected. During the First World War, the temple building was damaged by fire. In the early 1920s, when the village of Svajatychy became part of interwar Poland, the temple was returned to the Catholic Church, at the same time the church was restored after a fire and again rebuilt several times. After the Second World War, in the second half of the 20th century, in Soviet times, the Catholic church of St. George in the village of Svajatychy was closed and did not function. In the early 1990s, the temple was again returned to the Catholic Church. At the moment, the temple has been restored, renovated and is operational. The Catholic church of St. George in the village of Svajatychy is also a monument of 19th-century empire, cultural and historical value, and also an interesting tourist attraction in Belarus.

In the village of Svajatychy previously also housed an extensive palace and park complex of the 19th century. The central building of the complex - a beautiful palace, was built in the style of late classicism and was considered one of the most beautiful in the entire district. Until 1914, the palace housed a huge collection of paintings and a very rich library, in which there were about five thousand books. The palace in the village of Svajatychy was completely looted and partially destroyed during the First World War. Then it was restored, but during the Second World War the palace was again looted, and also completely and irrevocably destroyed. In the post-war period, the palace was not restored, and a completely new building of the local school was erected in its place. At the moment, the school in the village of Svajatychy is no longer functioning, and a private production enterprise was located in the walls of the former school. From the original palace to our time only sketches and photos have been preserved (see below). In addition, in the village of Svajatychy, several completely unremarkable former outbuildings of the late 19th century, part of the fence, the ruins of the foundation of the roadside chapel and minor fragments of the park, which previously belonged to the palace and park complex, have survived.

However, in the village of Svajatychy there are still a few small attractions. Firstly, this is a small 19th century roadside chapel. This chapel did not belong to the palace complex and has survived to this day. And secondly, it is a very small tomb chapel, also built in the 19th century. This chapel is located in the local Christian cemetery. In the second half of the 19th century, when the building of the Catholic church of St. George in the village of Svajatychy was transferred to the Orthodox Church, it was this chapel that began to serve as a temple for local Catholics.
