Pinkavičy

Pinkavičy - is a village of Pinsk district, Brest region of Belarus. Pinkavičy village may be of interest to tourists and travelers on Belarus mainly for the reason that it is closely adjacent to the city of Pinsk, and in fact is its continuation, but because, looking at the numerous attractions of Pinsk, you can easily and conveniently visit and the village Pinkavičy. So, the main attraction of the village Pinkavičy is wooden Orthodox church of the Intercession, built in 1830. The area around the church is very well landscaped. Also, next to the church in the village Pinkavičy there is a source of Holy Water. But the church itself today is in excellent condition and is an interesting architectural monument, cultural and historical value and attraction of Belarus.

Another interesting attraction is the village Pinkavičy literary and ethnographic museum of Yakub Kolas. This museum is housed in the restored building of the former school, originally built in the late 19th century. In this school, in 1904-1906 lived and worked as a teacher Yakub Kolas. To date, the museum exhibit includes some of the materials associated with the presence of Yakub Kolas in the village Pinkavičy and memories of local residents about it. Also, the museum conveys good peasant life from the early 20th century, and can be also interesting from this point of view. Finally, the museum also has the exposition dedicated to the history and current state of the village itself Pinkavičy.
