Lyskava - is a village of Pruzhany district, Brest region of Belarus. In the village of Lyskava survived several interesting attractions, but the main one, of course, is a complex of buildings of the former Catholic monastery of missionaries. This monastery was founded in the village of Lyskava in 1751 and abolished in the middle of 19th century. The central place in the architectural ensemble of the former monastery complex in the village of Lyskava is occupied by the Catholic church of the Holy Trinity, built in 1785. In 1841, after the abolition of the monastery, the church became a parish church. In 1866, in connection with the suppression of the uprising in 1863, the church in the village of Lyskava was transferred to the Orthodox Church and was rebuilt several times. In the 1880s the church was restored after a major fire. In 1921, when the village of Lyskava was part of the interwar Poland, the church was returned to the Catholic Church. In the 1950s, the church in the village of Lyskava was partially destroyed, and in 1960 it was finally closed.

By the way, in the village of Lyskava there was another Catholic church, which the locals called "red". In the same 1950s, it was destroyed to the ground, and at the moment there are no visible traces left by this second church in the village of Lyskava. Thus, unfortunately, at the moment, the only surviving Catholic church in the village of Lyskava is only a ruin. However, even now, this church makes a strong impression, especially due to the fact that inside the church there are enough preserved elements of interior decoration. Also in the architectural ensemble of the former monastery in the village of Lyskava is a residential monastery building, built in the second half of the 18th century. This building has been perfectly restored to date. Today in the former monastic corps there is a medical outpatient clinic.

It should also be mentioned that on the territory of the former monastery, next to the church, there is grave of Franciszek Karpiński. Recall that Franciszek Karpiński (1741-1825) - a famous Polish poet and playwright. He owned a small estate near the village of Lyskava, in which he spent the last years of his life. And finally, on the territory of the former monastery in the village of Lyskava, there is another remarkable detail, namely, a part of stone-paved ancient road. This part of the road is located just between the church and the residential building. To date, the architectural ensemble of the former monastic complex, led by the church in the village of Lyskava is an interesting architectural monument, a cultural and historical value and a landmark of Belarus.
