Lazduny - is a village of Iwye district, Grodno region of Belarus. It should immediately be clarified that in the Iwye district there are two villages with the name Lazduny, located five kilometers apart, one north of the other. Officially these villages are called "Lazduny 1st" and "Lazduny 2nd", however with their numbering there is a serious confusion. In this material, we will talk about the village of Lazduny, which is located to the north. So, the main attraction of this village is the Catholic church of Saints Simeon and Tadeusz.

This monumental church was erected in the village of Lazduny from 1904 to 1910. The church is built of red brick with the use of natural stone, which gives its external appearance a certain severity. At the same time, the interior of the church is richly decorated with frescoes and paintings. The area around the church in the village of Lazduny is surrounded by a stone fence. The central entrance to the territory is decorated with a remarkable ancient brama (it means gate), which was built in the 19th century, when the previous wooden church was located on this place. Thus, the church in the village of Lazduny is an important Belarusian landmark and architectural monument.
