Jaremičy - is a large village of Karelichy district, Grodno region of Belarus. The main and actually the only sight and attraction of the village of Jaremičy is the Ascension Orthodox church. This unusual temple was built of natural stone in 1867 in a retrospective-russian style. The Orthodox church in the village of Jaremičy is located on the central square of the settlement. The area around the temple is surrounded by an old stone fence. The main entrance to the church territory is decorated with a brama and bell tower, also made of natural stone in the second half of the 19th century. The bell tower and the fence perfectly complement the architectural ensemble of the temple in the village of Jaremičy, they are all made in the same style and form a wonderful overall picture.

Jaremičy

The Ascension Orthodox church safely passed through both world wars. However, in the 60s of the 20th century, the temple in the village of Jaremičy was still closed by the Soviet authorities. The church building was used as a warehouse by a local agricultural enterprise. In 1989, the temple was returned to believers, after which it was quickly restored and repaired. Currently, the church is functioning for its original purpose and is in good condition. The Ascension Orthodox church in the village of Jaremičy is an architectural monument of the 19th century, historical and cultural value and an interesting sight and attraction of Belarus. It is also worth noting that in the village of Jaremičy there is another small attraction, namely a roadside chapel built of red brick in the second half of the 19th century.
