Varonča - is a village of Karelichy district, Grodno region of Belarus. The main attraction of the village Varonča is the Catholic church of St. Anne. This temple was built from 1773 to 1781, in the style of late classicism with elements of Baroque and Neo-Gothic. At the end of the 18th century, Jan Czeczot, a well-known Belarusian poet, folklorist and ethnographer, was baptized in a church in the village of Varonča. During the Second World War, namely in 1943, a large fire occurred in a church in the village of Varonča. According to one of the versions, it was organized by Soviet partisans.
In the 1950s, an attempt was made to completely destroy the temple, but the church in the village of Varonča was strong enough. Therefore, its complete destruction would require large material and labor costs. As a result, the temple was simply left empty and further collapse under the influence of time. The church in the village of Varonča was returned to the Catholic Church in 1990. Then, for the most part, the temple was restored and re-consecrated in 1995. However, certain restoration and renovation work in the church is carried out today. Catholic church of St. Anne in the village of Varonča is an interesting landmark of Belarus, as well as an important cultural, historical and architectural monument.
In the prewar period, the village of Varonča also housed an extensive manor complex of the 18th century. The central building of the complex, namely, a small wooden palace (or, conversely, a large manor house) has been completely lost. From him there were only old sketches. Several minor buildings that have survived until now, which were previously part of the estate complex, are currently used for household needs or for housing and are in a state that is completely unattractive for tourists.
