Plabań - is a small village of Maladzyechna district, Minsk region of Belarus, located along the Minsk-Maladzyechna highway, a few kilometers from the large village of Krasnaje. The main attraction of the village Plabań is the Orthodox church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This brick church was erected in the village of Plabań for a very long time, namely from 1800 to 1858. The architecture of the temple contains many elements typical for the neogothic style, for example, lancet window openings and pilasters. This temple was originally erected as a Catholic church.

During the peoples uprising of 1863-64, this church in the village of Plabań was used by the rebels as a secret arsenal. Accordingly, after the suppression of the uprising, the Catholic church was closed by the royal authorities. In 1872 the temple was transferred to the Orthodox Church. Between 1921 and 1939, when the village of Plabań was part of interwar Poland, the temple again functioned as a Catholic church. During the Second World War, the temple was badly damaged. In the second half of the 20th century, the church in the village of Plabań was abandoned and turned into ruins. In 1996, the temple was again transferred to the Orthodox Church.

The area around the temple is surrounded by a stone fence. The bell tower and fence were built along with the temple itself in the 19th century. There is in the village of Plabań and another important architectural and cultural landmark. This is a 19th century original wooden building of plebania. Plebania is located across the street from the temple, which at the time of the construction of plebania was still a Catholic church. Plebania is the home of the Catholic priest. The parish administration was also usually housed in the building of plebania. This plebania today is interesting and unique in that within its walls there is a very remarkable tourist site, namely the Center of Traditional Culture and Life. The fact is that after the Catholic church was closed in the second half of the 19th century, this historical house managed to be a school, a hospital and a branch of the Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature.

This museum was not very popular, so in 2009, an art gallery was opened in the plebania building. However, it did not become too popular, therefore, since 2014, the Center of Traditional Culture and Life functions here. This center provides a wide range of services for tourists and travelers. First, it is an independent inspection or excursions around the exhibition halls of the museum. There are six such halls in the center: a children's work hall; hall of works of artists of the district; hall of arts and crafts; 19th century peasant life hall; hall dedicated to the uprising of 1863-64; hall of products from flax. Secondly, in the Center of Traditional Culture and Life in the village of Plabań, many different thematic events, games, ethnographic evenings and master classes with participation of folk groups are held.

Plebania building is completely renovated and is in excellent condition. The area around the Center of Traditional Culture and Life in the village of Plabań is beautifully landscaped. Thus, this plebania today is not only an important architectural monument of the 19th century, but also a very attractive sight for tourists and travelers, as well as a center of cultural life of the village itself. It is interesting to note that the entire village of Plabań was at one time named after the local plebania, which to this day is the main calling card of the settlement.
