Myory - is a town in the Vitebsk region of Belarus, the administrative center of the Myory district. The main and virtually the only attraction of the city Myory is the Catholic church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. This church was built in the city Myory in 1907. In 1951, the temple was adapted for grain storage, but in 1956 the church in Myory was returned to believers. In 1957, after the restoration, the church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was re-consecrated and has since been continuously functioning. In Soviet times, there were literally several Catholic churches on the territory of Belarus, which makes the history of each of these churches of its kind very unusual.
The temple in the city of Myory has a very impressive size. It is superbly situated on the banks of a large lake, so at the church in the town of Myory beautiful views from many points of the city and its environs. On the territory near the church found several interesting monuments. One of these monuments dedicated to the unborn child. This monument depicts a guillotine, which hangs over the embryo in the womb of the mother. The monument to the unborn child in the town of Myory makes a strong impression. The Catholic church in the town of Myory is an architectural monument of the early 20th century, the historical and cultural value and an important tourist attraction of Belarus. The picturesque town of Myory gives its location on the banks of the aforementioned large lake which is called: lake Myorskaye.
