Žytkavičy district
Žytkavičy district of Gomel region of Belarus has several important architectural monuments and sights. It is located in the Žytkavičy district city Turaŭ. This city is one of the oldest in Belarus, was once the capital of the eponymous kingdom. Today in this city houses the museum, which is located within the foundation of one of the oldest stone churches in Belarus. Also in the town of Turaŭ beautiful preserved a more modern temple. Turaŭ are also very attractive for ornithologists, as right next to the town on a large island in the middle of Pripyat, where predators can not reach and rarely visited by people who inhabit a lot of rare species of birds.
