Byerastavitsa district
Byerastavitsa district, Grodno region of Belarus is situated in the south-west of the region, bordering with the Republic of Poland. The first documented mention of Byerastavitsa dates back to 1495 The main attraction of this town is the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In Byerastavitsa preserved several interesting monuments of history and culture. In the central square, where once stood the City Hall, is the Carmelite church, rebuilt in 1866 at the intersection of Lenin and Matrosov - church, built in the style of pseudo at the beginning of the XX century. Former coaching house - a monument of civil architecture with features of Wooden Architecture 2nd half of the XIX century. Many localities Byerastavitsa district also has a long history and many attractions, cultural, historical and architectural monuments. In Byerastavitsa near park and some of the former manor complexes are now the objects of national importance.
