Mikashevichy - is a small town of Luninets district, Brest region of Belarus. The main architectural attraction of the city of Mikashevichy is the Orthodox church of the Nativity of John the Baptist, built in 1936. Until 1939, the town of Mikashevichy was part of Poland, like the rest of the western part of Belarus, and this temple was originally built as a Catholic church. The temple was built in such a way that now it looks somewhat older than its real years. Then, in the second half of the 20th century, that is, in the Soviet period, this temple did not function, and the local club was even located in the temple building for some time. In the early 1990s, the church building was transferred to Orthodox believers and rebuilt into an Orthodox church, in particular, then domes were installed. As a result, at the moment, the Orthodox church of the Nativity of John the Baptist in the city of Mikashevichy has a very original and unusual appearance. In front of the temple is a beautiful modern brama (it means gate). The Orthodox church of the Nativity of John the Baptist in the city of Mikashevichy is an interesting architectural monument, cultural and historical value, landmark and attraction of Belarus.
