The exact location of the geographical center of Europe is difficult to specify unambiguously, because it is determined by the chosen calculation method and depends on the definition of the borders of Europe, and also on whether remote islands are included in the list of extreme points of Europe or not. For this reason, several places in different countries apply for the title of the geographical center of Europe.
