The Dzerzhinovo Memorial Complex is located on the outskirts of Naliboki forest near the village of Piatrylavichy (Stowbtsy district, Minsk region, Belarus). This complex is a restored manor of Dzerzhinsky, the original of which belonged to the end of the 19th century (pictured below). In one of the buildings that belonged to this estate on September 11, 1877, Felix Dzerzhinsky was born - a famous revolutionary, the founder and leader of the Soviet special services, a prominent statesman and one of the initiators of the "red terror" - mass arrests and shootings of opponents of the Soviet regime.

Contradictory personality, destiny, activity and sometimes very cruel methods and decisions of Felix Dzerzhinsky deserved many different, sometimes opposite judgments from historians, various public and political figures, and ordinary people. Nevertheless, the very fact that this person influenced the course of history and, one way or another, was an outstanding personality, no one can challenge. Today in his honor only in our country many streets, avenues, the highest mountain of Belarus and even the whole city are named, a lot of monuments are established, and in the power structures his personality is still surrounded by a halo of glory and special reverence. Therefore, today the manor-museum "Dzerzhinovo" dedicated to the memory of Felix Dzerzhinsky is undoubtedly an important part of the cultural and historical heritage of Belarus, which can not be ignored.

From the original buildings of the manor "Dzerzhinovo" to this day are preserved only the foundations. The fact is that the estate was burnt by the German fascist invaders in 1943. Prior to this, in addition to the main manor house, several buildings and a small park were also part of the complex of the Dzerzhinovo estate. In the 1970s, a memorial complex was founded here. It was represented by 48 boulders (by the number of years lived by Felix Dzerzhinsky). In the 2000s, some buildings that belonged to the estate "Dzerzhinovo", in particular the manor house and some outbuildings, were restored.

The foundations of the remaining buildings were excavated, and now they are, oddly enough, a very interesting, picturesque and unusual sight. The territory of the estate "Dzerzhinovo" was beautifully landscaped, alongside with all the objects information signs were installed, and in the center of the complex there was a monument to Felix Dzerzhinsky. Boulders today adorn the avenues of the manor-museum "Dzerzhinovo". In the reconstructed building of the estate there is a museum, in which there are several antiquities, but mostly there are documents and other materials telling about the life and work of Felix Dzerzhinsky. In such an excellent condition, the estate-museum "Dzerzhinovo" is still today.

Nowadays, various power structures sometimes hold their solemn and festive events on the territory of the Dzerzhinovo estate-museum, for example, they take oaths, assign titles, hand over personal memorabilia weapons, awards and so on. There are not many ordinary tourists here. Nevertheless, on weekends or summer days here is also not empty. The museum-estate "Dzerzhinovo" can be very interesting for those travelers in Belarus who are interested in the history of the formation of Soviet power and the Soviet period in the history of Belarus in general.
