Bycien - is a village of Ivatsevichy district, Brest region of Belarus. The main attraction of the village Bycien is operating old Assumption Orthodox church, originally built back in 1654 as a chapel at the Basilian monastery. Unfortunately, except for the church of the monastery over nothing left. Apparently, the church in the village Bycien not significantly reorganized since its erection, so its appearance completely corresponds to the date of its construction. This fact gives a certain value of the church in the village Bycien, because it turns out that it is here that one can see the true temple of the mid-17th century, it stood for more than 360 years. The bell tower is situated in front of the temple built in modern times. Today, the church in the village Bycien is in good condition. In Belarus is not too often you can find building of the 17th century in such a good condition, so each of them including a church in the village Bycien is a very interesting architectural monument, cultural and historical value and attraction of Belarus.
