Ishkaldz - is a small village of Baranovichi district, Brest region of Belarus. The main attraction of the village Ishkaldz is Trinity Catholic church, originally built in 1449-1472 years. Thus, this temple is very old - one of the oldest temples (and in general architectural monuments) of Belarus, the number of surviving. The church in the village Ishkaldz is unique in that unlike other temples Belarus 15-16 and earlier ages (which in Belarus, unfortunately, is not so much, but nevertheless they are available), the temple is not substantially rebuilt since its construction. The appearance of this temple is actually not changed since the 15th century, and is only slightly changed internal design. For this reason, the church in the village Ishkaldz is of particular value. It is here that one can understand and see, looked like a monumental medieval churches in Belarus. At the moment, the church in the village Ishkaldz fully restored and functioning as a temple. There is no doubt that the church in the village Ishkaldz is the one of the most important architectural monument of the 15th century, historical and cultural value and an outstanding landmark of Belarus.

A bit about the history of the Holy Trinity Church in the village Ishkaldz. The temple was founded in 1449. Completion of construction of the temple and its consecration took place between 1468 and 1471. In the second half of the 16th century the church was adapted under the Calvinist cathedral. In 1641 he returned to the Catholics. During the Russian-Polish war in the mid-17th century church in the village Ishkaldz was badly damaged, but later restored. After the uprising in 1863, like many other Catholic churches in the territory of modern Belarus, the Trinity church was closed and rebuilt in 1868 by the Orthodox church. After the transition of the village Ishkaldz into Poland in 1918, the church was returned to Catholics.

The locals are very vigorously opposed the closure of the church in the Soviet era. They are guarded round the clock temple, and in case of danger, going almost all the villagers and were a human shield between the Catholic church and representatives of the authorities and literally asked not to close the temple on his knees. However, the summer of 1969 the church was still closed (much later than most of the other churches and churches of Belarus). A newly opened this temple unusually early, in 1978, when the rest of the churches continued to be empty and deteriorate. In addition, the congregation was not allowed to take church property, which included a number of valuable ancient icons. In Soviet times, the church building in the village Ishkaldz just empty and not used for household needs, as many other churches, so the interior of the temple is not actually hurt.
