Padarosk - is a large village of Vawkavysk district, Grodno region of Belarus. The main attraction of the village Padarosk is a vast manor complex, founded at the end of the 18th century by representatives of the noble family of Czeczot. They owned the estate in the village of Padarosk up to the middle of the 19th century. In 1854, the estate in the village of Padarosk was acquired by the son of the famous writer, philosopher and lawyer Florian Bochwic, Roman Bochwic. After that, the estate complex in the village of Padarosk was significantly redesigned and updated. In particular, in 1854-1856, the central manor house was completely rebuilt, which turned into a small palace. The new building of the manor in the village Padarosk was built in the style of late classicism.
Also in the second half of the 19th century, an extensive park was laid out and many outbuildings were erected. In Soviet times, the manor in the village of Padarosk was located at first at the middle and music schools, and then at the board of the local agricultural enterprise. Most of the remaining buildings that were part of the estate complex were abandoned. Since 2004, the central manor house also left empty. However, at the beginning of the 21th century, this small palace in the village of Padarosk was still in a fairly strong condition. In addition, the foundations of many household and minor constructions, a part of a brick fence and a massive entrance gate, have survived to this day. In 2012, the estate complex was sold to private ownership.
Since then, and up to our time, construction, restoration and renovation work has been slowly but surely carried out in a manor in the village of Padarosk. It is planned to completely restore the central manor house (small palace) of the mid-19th century, as well as to build a restaurant, a hotel and the first Belarusian gentry museum in Belarus, to restore the park and some outbuildings. The manor in the village Padarosk is an important landmark of Belarus and cultural and historical monument of 19th-century landscape architecture. A visit to the manor complex in the village of Padarosk is included in a number of excursions and educational tours of the gentry estates of Belarus. The estate is very picturesquely located on the shore of a small lake. Tourists and travelers in Belarus will be very interesting to visit the village Padarosk and get acquainted with the estate complex located here.
There is in the village Padarosk and another important attraction, namely the Orthodox church of the Holy Trinity. Regarding the date of construction, the initial confession and the subsequent history of this temple, there are several slightly different versions. Most likely, the stone church in the village of Padarosk was erected in 1780 as a Greek Catholic, that is, a Uniate church, to replace the old wooden church of the 1630s, which was located in the same place. Later, the church was handed over to Orthodox believers. The Orthodox Church operated in these walls until 1925. Then the building was converted into a Catholic church.
After the arrival of the Red Army in September 1939 and the establishment of Soviet power, the Catholic church was closed, and the building of the temple in the village of Padarosk stood in desolation. In the postwar years, the building of the temple was used first as a grain store, and then as a warehouse of mineral fertilizers. In 1990, the church building was returned to the Orthodox residents of the village Padarosk. In one year, the church was repaired and in the fall of 1991 the church was consecrated in honor of the Holy Trinity. At the moment, the church in the village Padarosk is in good condition, is an active Orthodox church, an interesting landmark, cultural, historical and architectural monument of Belarus.
Also in the village Padarosk there is a small Catholic church. This church appeared quite recently, in 1993. During the construction of the church builders significantly rebuilt the building of the club of the fire service, previously located on this site. A notable feature of the village of Padarosk is that Maksymilian Stanisław Ryłło - a Catholic missionary in the Middle East and Africa, a philosopher, an archaeologist, the first researcher of ancient Babylon and the founder of several institutions of higher education, which was one of first in their regions, was born here in 1802.
