Mniuta - is a village of Hlybokaye district, Vitebsk region of Belarus. The main attraction of the village Mniuta is Catholic church of the Virgin Mary. This temple was built in 1910, and at the moment it is well restored. Church in the village Mniuta has a very impressive size and memorable appearance. This temple is beautifully situated next to a large lake, which is like a village called Mniuta. All these factors make the church in the village Mniuta quite interesting tourist attraction. Another interesting feature of the church in the village Mniuta is a small episode in its history. The fact that here was baptized Vaclau Lastouski. Vaclau Lastouski was born in 1883. He was a Belarusian writer, public and political figure, historian, philologist, and most importantly, the Prime Minister of the Belarusian People's Republic. Even in Soviet times, he also received the title of academician and became director of the Belarusian State Museum. At the beginning of the 30s of the 20th century, he was convicted on trumped-up case of the so-called "Union for the Liberation of Belarus", was sentenced to deportation, and later in 1938 was shot.
