Ivaškavičy - is a village of Zel’va district, Grodno region of Belarus. The main and virtually the only attraction of the village of Ivaškavičy is the ruins of the Orthodox church of the Intercession of the Theotokos, which are picturesquely located on a small hill on the outskirts of the village. This temple was built at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries in the late Baroque style. Unfortunately, more detailed information about the appearance of the church in the village of Ivaškavičy has not been preserved to our time. In addition to the temple itself, the architectural ensemble of the church also previously included a bell tower, a brama (gate) and a stone fence. Orthodox church of the Intercession of the Theotokos was destroyed during the First World War. After that, the church in the village of Ivaškavičy was no longer restored. Time and atmospheric phenomena contribute to the further destruction of the temple in the village of Ivaškavičy. Until now, the church, the bell tower and the gate were preserved in the form of ruins, the fence - in the form of single stones scattered throughout the adjacent territory. Nevertheless, today the ruins of the church in the village of Ivaškavičy are a historical monument, as well as an interesting attraction of Belarus.
