Zelva - is a small town of Grodno region of Belarus, an administrative center of Zel’va district. The main attraction of the city Zelva is the Catholic church of the Holy Trinity, built in 1913 in the neogothic style. The church in Zelva was closed in the 1950s. In Soviet times, the church building was first used as a shop, and then as the storage of grain. The temple was returned to the Catholic Church in 1989. In the same year it was re-consecrated. Later, the Holy Trinity Catholic church in the city of Zelva was perfectly restored and renovated. Today the temple is in excellent condition, is an interesting landmark of Belarus, as well as a cultural, historical and architectural monument. The church in Zelva has a very interesting and memorable appearance. This is facilitated by such architectural features of the temple as: a high, concave inside hip roof; as well as two massive, two-tier, octagonal towers with conical spires. The Catholic church of the Holy Trinity in the city of Zelva majestically rises above the low-rise private buildings with which it is adjacent, and is the architectural dominant of the surrounding area.

There is also another important architectural and cultural landmark in the city of Zelva, namely, the Orthodox church of the Holy Trinity, built in 1815. Originally, this temple was built as a Uniate. From 1904 to 1909 this church in the city of Zelva was substantially renewed. In particular, a stone bell tower was attached to it. And only after that (in 1910) this temple was re-consecrated from the Uniate to the Orthodox. In Soviet times, the Orthodox church of the Holy Trinity in the city of Zelva was not closed. This temple is known for the fact that for a long time Larysa Hienijuš, a well-known Belarusian poetess, writer and public figure, was its constant parishioner. The writer lived the last 27 years of her life in the city of Zelva and was buried in a local cemetery in 1983. And near the Orthodox church of the Holy Trinity in 2003, a monument to the poetess was erected. The church in the city of Zelva today is in excellent condition and, of course, is an important architectural monument, historical and cultural value and interesting sights of Belarus.
