Radaškovičy - is an urban settlement of Maladzyechna district, Minsk region of Belarus. The main attraction of the village Radaškovičy is the Catholic church of the Holy Trinity. This stone temple was built in the style of late classicism in the years 1855-1859 and consecrated in 1860. The Catholic church of the Holy Trinity was erected in the village of Radaškovičy on the place where wooden temples had been located since the 15th century, after the previous church had completely burned down. A very bright and remarkable page in the history of the church in the village of Radaškovičy is that it was here in 1882 was baptized Ivan Daminikavich Lutsevich - the future famous Belarusian poet and translator, playwright, essayist and classic of Belarusian literature, widely known in Belarus and far beyond under the pseudonym Yanka Kupala.

Radaškovičy

After the end of the Second World War, namely in 1946, the church in the village of Radaškovičy was closed, and a factory workshop for the production of pottery was organized in the building of the temple. As a result of such exploitation at the end of the 20th century, the church building was in disrepair. In 1990, the temple in the village Radaškovičy returned the Catholic Church. The restoration of the church lasted a long 13 years. The reconsecration of the restored temple took place in 2003.

Radaškovičy

Today, the Catholic church of the Holy Trinity in the village of Radaškovičy is in good condition, and is not only an active Catholic church, but also an important historical, cultural and architectural monument of the 19th century, as well as an interesting landmark of Belarus. However, it should be noted that in the second half of the 20th century, while the temple was part of a complex of industrial buildings, the church was built up almost from all sides with various industrial buildings, high brick fences, pipelines and other things. The corresponding plants function in our time, so the church remains clutched in the dense ring of unremarkable brick workshops and fences to this day. This circumstance slightly spoils the impression of tourists and travelers who visit the church in the village of Radaškovičy.

In addition to the church in the village Radaškovičy there are several remarkable historical buildings and monuments. These include: St. Elijah’s Orthodox Wooden Church, built in 1945; a 19th-century Catholic chapel located in a local cemetery; several buildings of the late 19th - early 20th centuries, which can be attributed to the ordinary urban historical buildings; as well as several monuments and memorials dedicated to the events of the Second World War.
