Turec - is a large village of Karelichy district, Grodno region of Belarus. The main attraction of the village of Turec is the Orthodox church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This unusual temple was built of natural stone from 1886 to 1888, it is made in retrospective-russian style. The church in the village of Turec is picturesquely located on a hill in the center of the settlement. Thanks to this, the temple is visible from afar. The Orthodox church in the village of Turec has never been significantly rebuilt. As a result, the temple has survived to our time in its original form. The area around the church is surrounded by an old stone fence. The main entrance to the temple territory is decorated with a brama made of natural stone in the second half of the 19th century.

Therefore, today in the Orthodox church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Turec, many ancient icons of the 18th and 19th centuries are stored. Nowadays, the church is in excellent condition and continues to function according to its original purpose.
